St. John’s to showcase local wines to benefit the Pendleton Community Service Fund

FALLBROOK – St. John’s Episcopal Church announces its first-ever “Fallbrook Vintners’ Wine Showcase,” a gala wine tasting and auction to benefit the Pendleton Community Service Fund. The event will take place on Saturday, October 15 from 4-8 p.m. at 433 N. Orange Ave., Fallbrook.

Community involvement will help:

1. Provide financial support to the Pendleton Community Service Fund. Affiliated with the Camp Pendleton Rotary, the fund has provided free “second-hand” furniture and household items since 2004 to thousands of young enlisted Navy families and veterans in need. Learn more at http://www.cpcsf.org.

2. Promote the wines of the Fallbrook region, recognizing that the region’s unique combination of soils and climates allows for the cultivation of grapes that produce wines of exceptional diversity, character and quality. Showcase attendees will be presented with a variety of appealing wines that represent the full spectrum of vineyards and winemakers in the Fallbrook area.

Contributing wineries are Iacobelli’s Estate, Fallbrook Winery, Myrtle Creek Vineyards and Sblendorio Winery.

In addition to great wine tasting, the Showcase fun will include delicious food from 127 West Social House, live and silent auctions, opportunity raffles and live entertainment. For this great package, tickets are only $30 for individuals, $50 for couples, and $20 for active duty military. Participants must, of course, be of legal drinking age.
