Development of a community vision plan for Reconnect South To park

The City of Seattle’s Office of Community Planning and Development (OPCD) invites submissions for two separate but related task forces on the potential removal or restructuring of State Route 99 through South Park, Seattle:

1) developing a community vision plan, and

2) technical analysis of current conditions and potential impacts of multiple alternative configurations.

Principal applicants for the community vision plan development body of work must be neighborhood organizations active in the Duwamish Valley area of ​​King County, WA. The technical body of work is open to teams of consultants with expertise in urban planning, environmental analysis and related disciplines. The community vision plan team will lead community engagement activities to inform project goals, and the technical team will be responsible for evaluating multiple alternatives using engagement-defined considerations such as mobility, safety , environmental quality, health and economic opportunities.

Project budget: $600,000 in total. Up to $300,000 each for community vision plan development and technical analysis.
