A NEW Community Food Pantry will be launched next week to help people who are struggling financially.

St Wilfred’s Church Pantry, Bradford will open on April 27 and operate every Wednesday from 11am-12pm.

It will serve the residents of Lidget Green and Scholemoor and provide low cost groceries to those in need.

Adam Dickson, PA to the Vicar, said: “St. Wilfrid’s Church has seen new developments over the past year, and part of that continued development is that we seek to practically serve our wider Lidget Green community. , Scholemoor and the surrounding area.

“We have recently detected a growing concern due to the current rising fuel and food prices and the associated cost of living, so we have created the pantry vision to offer low cost groceries to any local person who is experiencing this kind of difficulty”

“By offering this service, we hope that as St. Wilfrid’s we can show compassion and support for those who are vulnerable and struggling in our community, while fostering a greater sense of togetherness.

The church is located on St Wilfrid’s Rd, Bradford, BD7 2LU.
