January 2022 Caring for the Carolinas Community Service Hero

SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) – “Well, hello, Jack Roper here. We’re in Una, Spartanburg County, at Kingdom New Life Church, and we’re going to go into the shrine to present our January award to a very nice lady, Dr. Candace Brewer. noted.

“She is the founder of POST,” said Bishop Cathaye Jones of Kingdom New Life Church. “POST is ‘Protecting Our Stolen Treasures’. “

“When she hears that someone… has lost a loved one to a senseless homicide. She is the one who will come to provide this support in action. She is a person with a heart and a passion for others.” said POST chaplain Terrell Jones.

“She is very inspiring to me, not only to me but to the Spartanburg community and overall,” said Chance Lebron, community activist for POST.

“We advocate around the world against gun violence, for police accountability and against senseless violence. And that includes domestic violence. I created my organization over 5 years ago because I lost 12 family members to gun violence and one to police violence. That’s why we decided to create POST in the state of South Carolina, ”said Dr. Candace Brewer.

“She is one of those who stand up and support the family, even support the police to do their job. The governor knows her by name, ”Jones said.

“We feed the homeless, we shelter survivors of domestic violence and we are just there for the community on a daily basis. We never take a break, ”Brewer said.

“And we thank Bain Magique, Unclaimed Furniture, Ingles and Hardees. So for the month of January, our winner, our community hero is DR. Candace Brewer. Let’s give it a helping hand, ”Roper said.
