GROUP TO MEET: The Northwest Neighborhood Association will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at Grace United Methodist Church, Drexel Avenue NW. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. The guest speaker is Michael Keys, Director of Community Development at Warren.

AGRICULTURAL BUREAU DAY: The Trumbull County Agricultural Bureau, in partnership with Cockeye Creamery, will host a Farm Bureau Day and Dairy Celebration to celebrate National Milk Month from 3-8 p.m. Saturday at Cockeye Creamery, 1805 Parkman Road , Warren. The month honors dairy and farm families. The farm office will have a display table.

SUMMER CAMP FOR CHILDREN: Pleasant Valley Evangelical Church in Liberty will host a summer camp for children ages 7 and up. The camps will take place the weeks of June 13-16, June 28-30, July 12-14, July 25-28 and August 8-11. For more information, visit PVChurch.net

HUBBARD ROTARY FUNDRAISING: The Hubbard Rotary Club sponsors a Sandman project and takes the lead. The project provides sand for children’s sandboxes in the City and Township of Hubbard. LIBRARY SPEAKER: The Girard Free Library will have guest speaker Allyson Wilson, a graduate of Girard High School in 2002, at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Wilson is an illustrator of picture books, including “Luna Muna: Outer Space Adventures of a Kid Astronaut.” She will read the book to the children and discuss its illustrations and space themes. VACCINE CLINIC: Friendship Baptist Church, 1954 Brier St. SE, Warren, will be the site of a COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. GOLF CLASSIC: The Youngstown Jewish Community Center will host its annual Suzi Solomon Golf Classic on June 13 at Squaw Creek-Avalon Golf and Country Club, 761 Youngstown Kingsville Road SE, Vienna Center.

Registration and dinner are at 11:30 a.m. and check-out time is at 12:45 p.m. Cost is $185 per person. Sponsorship opportunities are available.

Sponsors and participants contribute to the success of CCG’s offerings: wellness programs, adult and youth education, cultural engagement, community outreach and more. This event raises funds to provide free meals each week to Valley seniors, teach water safety skills to swimmers of all ages, provide Camp JCC scholarships to local children, create programs designed to bring together the community and more.

Suzi Solomon was an avid golfer and skier, as well as an active member of the Youngstown Jewish community. RED CROSS SEEKS NOMINATIONS: The American Red Cross of Greater Akron and Mahoning Valley is seeking nominations to honor individuals in the Mahoning Valley for their bravery and acts of heroism in times of emergency. The awards will be presented on September 30 at the Red Cross Acts of Courage and Spirit Awards Ceremony at Waypoint 4180 in Canfield.

Submit the nominees’ names to www.redcross.org where there is a nomination form. Applicants must reside or work in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties. The specific act of courage must have taken place between January 2021 and June 1, 2022.
