Bella Vista Community Church Hosts Concerts

The Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., will be hosting a Thanksgiving dinner at 1 p.m. on November 25. Contact the office to reserve before November 22.

The church also has these Christmas concerts scheduled in the shrine:

December 6 – Bentonville High School Chamber Orchestra, 5:30 p.m.

December 11 – Bella Vista Community Orchestra, 3 p.m.

December 12 – Bella Vista Men’s Choir, 3 p.m.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts Sunday morning services at 8:30 am (traditional) and 10:45 am (mixed). Sunday school for kids of all ages takes place at 9:30 am on the lower level, and in the community room they are discussing “Connecting with Disconnected Adults”, a time to reflect on your relationships with your adult children or other adults you want to reconnect with Jesus. Pastor Hass will lead “Christianity 202” in the library.

The Thanksgiving worship service is at 10 a.m. on November 25.

Men’s Bible Study meets at 7 p.m. on November 15. The choir rehearsals take place on Saturdays at 9:30 a.m. and also at 10:30 a.m. for the Christmas concert rehearsal, which will take place on December 5.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon as a drive-thru, with Thanksgiving dinner items now available. It will not be open on November 26.

First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 NE J St., offers fall faith training opportunities on Sundays: Adult Sunday School at 9 a.m., J Street Kids (K-3rd) and Club 456 (4th-6th ) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and youth group (7-12) from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Worship at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday is offered in person and online. Masks will be worn in the building.

The FPC Food Pantry operates by car from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays. Please bring something (utility bill, etc.) that shows you are a resident of Benton County, and the church is happy to serve you.

Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rogers, 2305 S. Dixieland Road, has Sunday services at 10 am. The 8:30 a.m. Bible study precedes church services and online on Google Meet. A Thanksgiving service will be held at 7 p.m. on November 24.

The Second Saturday Bible Study for Women will be held on November 13 at the church. Each woman will bring her own lunch bag.

For those unable to attend on Sunday mornings, services are also available live on the church’s Facebook page and recorded for posting on the church’s website.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., is planning a Christmas program for Sunday morning, December 12. Called “Olde Fashioned Christmas”, it is a Christian story that takes place during the holidays.

The church holds services at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday and Sunday school begins at 9:00 a.m. in the Stock Exchange Hall.

Bella Vista Presbyterian Church, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., offers an 8 a.m. exercise class every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for stretching and low-impact exercises, using a chair or rug.

Do you like to knit or crochet? If so, join the Busy Hands group on Friday at 1 p.m. in the lobby of the PCBV office.

The Ozark Hill Hikers Club will meet on November 18 at noon in the Fellowship Hall.

Washington County

Springdale’s First Presbyterian Church, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, offers Sunday services, both in person and live via YouTube and the church’s website, starting at 10:30 am with Acting Pastor Reverend Ronnie Prevost.

Reverend Moises Chan is the Parish Associate of the First Presbyterian and Director of Ministerio a la Vecindad, a Hispanic ministry partnership with the Presbytery of Arkansas. In conjunction with Crowder College, GED classes are offered at the church from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

After Church Fellowship is 11:45 a.m. on Sundays in the Fellowship Hall. Join your friends for a cup of coffee and a light snack after services each week.

A church-wide bingo game begins at 5 p.m. on November 14 in the Exchange Hall. Members and friends of all ages are invited to enjoy snacks, prizes and a friendly bingo competition.

All children aged 5 to 5 are welcome to join the children’s choir. Laci Hampton is the new manager. They will practice at 9:30 am during Sunday school time.
