Bella Vista Community Church celebrates its 47th anniversary on Sunday

Bella Vista Community Church, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd., will be celebrating our 47th church anniversary on June 6th! Former Pastor Thad Moore will preach.

Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., hosts Sunday morning services at 8:30 a.m. (traditional) and 10:45 a.m. (mixed). Sunday school and Bible classes for adults take place at 9.45 am Social distancing is practiced. There will be only one service on Sunday morning on May 30 at 9:30 a.m.

Lutheran Hour is broadcast every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. on KURM-FM (100.3) and KURM-AM (790) radios

The “Sonday Riders” will meet at 2pm on June 6 and 20 in the front parking lot. All two, three and four wheel riders are welcome for a scenic and leisurely ride that ends in a restaurant where the group has time to share and share.

The Ladies Bible Study Group meets on June 7 at 6 p.m.

The choir meets on Saturday at 9:30 a.m.

The Silver Needle Quilters meet at 1 p.m. on June 7.

The Quilting group meets at 8:30 am on June 9.

Prayer shawl makers meet at 12:30 p.m. on June 16.

A free summer vacation Bible school program is scheduled for June 21 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A meal will be offered at 5:30 p.m.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to noon.

First Presbyterian Church in Bentonville, 901 NE J St., operates the FPC Food Pantry as a drive-thru Saturday 9-11 a.m. Please bring something (utility bill, etc.) that shows you are a resident of Benton County, and the church is happy to serve you.

Worship is at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday, with worship service online via Facebook and YouTube. Distancing and masks are mandatory for in-person worship.

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Shepherd Church in Rogers, 2305 S. Dixieland Road, holds worship every Sunday at 10 am. Reverend Randy Moll is a pastor. The 8:30 a.m. Bible study precedes church and online service on Google Meet.

Midweek Bible Study takes place every Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Google Meet.

Highland Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Bella Vista, 1500 Forest Hills Blvd., is now completely open to everyone. Sunday school starts at 9 a.m. in the stock exchange room. The religious service starts at 10:30 a.m.

Bella Vista Presbyterian Church, 1880 Forest Hills Blvd., resumed in-person worship on Sundays at 10 a.m. Masks are no longer mandatory but are recommended if you have not been vaccinated. A daycare is available.

Benton County Unitarian Universalists, 1400 W. Walnut, # 113, Rogers, will be out of service on June 6, and you are invited to attend via Zoom at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Fayetteville’s 11 a.m. service for “Love Is Love: A service from UU pride.”

Bella Vista United Lutheran Church, 100 Cooper Road, hosts the Village International Food Festival on June 12 each year, serving you by “drive in” and “go”. Good old American cuisine is on the menu this month: meatloaf, potato casserole, green beans, bun and apple cake).

The reservation deadline is June 10. Call 855-1325 to reserve your dinners. Food is served between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and the cost per meal is $ 12.

The next dates are July 10, Jamaican cuisine; August 14, Italian cuisine; and October 9 is Oktoberfest with German food.

Unity Church of the Ozarks, 2200 SE J St., Bentonville, offers a free small pantry near the front door of the church at 2200 SE J St. in Bentonville. Please help yourself when needed and help others by donating.

Village Bible Church in Bella Vista, 1591 Forest Hills Blvd., offers a Sunday school for all ages at 9 a.m. with live worship at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday. Worship in the sanctuary is, as always, the optional mask. The Oasis Center (video room) is intended for those who prefer a frame with compulsory mask. A nursery is available for infants up to the age of 3 during Sunday school and worship hours.

The Oasis Food Pantry is open Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to noon for drive-through pickup.

Washington County

Springdale’s First Presbyterian Church, 100 S. Gutensohn Road, offers Sunday worship services, in person and live, starting at 10:30 am. Online worship services are available on YouTube and on the church’s website at www.fpcspringdale.org. The transitional pastor, the Reverend Dr. Ronnie Prevost, will lead the service.

A church-wide picnic will begin on June 6 at 4:30 p.m. on the church grounds. All residents of the region are invited. There will be lots of outdoor games and a bounce house for the kids.

The church is looking for an installed pastor. The pastor appointments committee meets with the liaison officers of the presbytery committee on ministry. Liaisons will guide the nominating committee and the congregation through the process of spiritual discernment involved in pastoral research.

For those who are fully immunized, masks are no longer required for in-person services. Those who are not vaccinated against covid-19 are strongly encouraged to wear masks and maintain distancing protocols.

Life can seem cold and lonely for those who have suffered loss or gone through a crisis. PFC Stephen Ministers are trained to help people get through difficult times in life, providing emotional and spiritual support. Contact the church office or visit the church website for more information.

There will be no vacation Bible school this year. Sunday school classes for adults, youth and children will not meet during the summer months. Classes will resume after Labor Day.

The PFC youth are planning a weeklong mission trip to Camp Ferncliff near Little Rock. They will serve in the Disaster Assistance Center and on the farm and complete a signature project that contributes to the long-term upkeep of Ferncliff.
