According to the Facebook post of pantry organizer Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Cupang, the soju was given to them.

The Manila Bulletin has requested official statements from SK Cupang and the city government, but they have yet to respond.

The SK Cupang brought its zero-waste community pantry to Purok 6, Area 8; then to La Unica Hija III and Purok 2, Zone 8 to Barangay Cupang. He encouraged those who would like to take advantage of free items to bring their own eco-bags for dry goods and bottles for condiments.
