ANDERSON — Since its inception, the nonprofit Anderson Community Development Corp. sold 59 properties obtained through the burn-out program.
Kevin Sulc, president of the development company. (ACDC), said Friday that includes four properties year-to-date.
He said the ACDC received $4,200 for these four properties; the sale of the 59 properties generated revenues of $45,775.
Sulc said the ACDC plans to sell or donate four more properties in the near future.
Properties are donated to Anderson First Church of the Nazarene and Madison County Habitat for Humanity.
Sulc said ACDC still owns 54 properties and has outstanding offers to purchase five of those properties.
He said Alexander Bickle LLC had made offers on the following properties and that Sulc would proceed to finalize the sales:
2450 Delaware Street; 2218 and 2222 Park Avenue; and 2200 and 2232 Sherman Street.
The sale of two properties at 1639 W. 18th St. and 1812 Arrow Ave. remains in abeyance.
Board member Lelia Kelley recommended that the ACDC place “For Sale” signs on the remaining properties with a contact number for a possible sale.
The money is donated to the association to buy and/or demolish properties.
